What are your expectations?

13. What are your expectations?

Do you expect that things will turn out perfectly or that something will always go wrong? Do you expect that you will be loved or that you’ll be hurt? Do you expect yourself to be rich or that poverty will always be your destiny? Do you expect life to be easy or that it will be a struggle?

What do you expect of yourself? That you will be smart? Clumsy? Careful? Sloppy? Reliable? Perfect? Where did these expectations come from? Are they serving you or causing you pain? Are they helping you to create the life you desire? What happens when your expectations are not met?

Expectations in themselves are not wrong, but they come from your belief systems and your belief systems create your reality. Breathe, and take a deeper look at what you expect, what you feel you deserve and the things you tend to imagine for yourself and others.
